Funeral Lunch Ministry
After the loss of a loved one families are taxed with making countless decisions while working through their own grief process. St. Joseph Parish offers a funeral lunch to our parishioners to help them not need to worry about “one more thing” during their final arrangements.
Our Funeral Lunch Ministry has three “Cook Teams” who talk to the family, purchase all needed food and supplies, set the buffet and clean up afterwards.
Families have the option to choose a Hot Meal or Cold Meal option.
Hot Meal Option
Hot Meal Option includes:
Ham
Scalloped Potatoes
Green Beans or Corn
Creamy Cole Slaw or Lettuce Salad*
*Includes Golden Italian Dressing
Dinner Rolls w/ butter
Water
Coffee
Various Desserts
All Plasticware and Paperware
Cold Meal Option
Cold Meal Option includes:
Ham
Potato Salad
Creamy Cole Slaw
Dinner Rolls w/ butter
Water
Coffee
Various Desserts
All Plasticware and Paperware
Desserts are provided by Parishioners. Desserts with be a variety of cookies/bars, pies, and sheet cakes. Parishioners who wish to join the Dessert List can click the link below or contact Barb Wesley at ba.wesley@icloud.com or 616-481-1799.
Meals are arranged, prepared, and served by parishioners. The cost of the food is billed by the parish office to the family. For more information about pricing, please contact the Funeral Luncheon Ministry.
